VR makes me sick. Is it for me?

No worries! Our Games are designed to avoid motion sickness. A common trigger for motion sickness comes from bad performance or low frame rate, issues have been accounted for when designing the game. Less than 1% of our players experience motion sickness.


I am not a gamer, is this experience for me?

Yes, 100%! This is not a video game. It is an intuitive experience made for everyone, from 12 to 82. If you know how to talk, listen, walk and grab objects, you have all the skills needed to make it. The experiences are none violent and focused on cooperation between players. Excellent for families! Perfect for corporate events.


Is the game good for Team Building?

It is made for teams! You cannot escape alone! You must work together, and everyone has a role to play. The key to success is to talk, listen and collaborate. And High Five when you are done!


I have the fear of heights, are these experience for me?

Your feet will always touch the floor, you are 100% safe, but your brain might think otherwise ☺ Our experiences can be challenging for people with strong fear of heights! But they are also amazingly rewarding when you go through!


Is the game tracking data?

Yes, the operator is tracking game sessions data (for example at what time a game starts, how long it takes to resolve each stage… ). The data tracked is never linked to any specific user. We do not have any user information.


WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

This is an active experience so please make sure you wear comfortable clothes and appropriate footwear (ie. no high heels). We also recommend not wearing mascara as it can smudge the lens and impact your experience.


CAN I WEAR MY GLASSES?

Glasses can be worn in this experience. For optimal fit and clarity, we strongly recommend wearing contact lenses. Our headsets will not fit large frames due to limited space between the eyes and VR lenses.


WHO CAN OR CAN'T PLAY?

Players must be 8 years and over to play.

Players under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to play. You will not receive a refund or credit.

You will need to be able to walk around, unassisted for an hour with full use of both hands. People with vision in one eye are able to play.

For safety reasons anyone with the following impairment/medical conditions are not able to play:

Epilepsy and similar seizure disorders.

Deaf or severe hearing loss.

Broken leg or arm.

Wheelchair users.

Our experiences are not recommended for anyone with the following impairment/medical conditions:

Heart condition.

Heavily pregnant.


WILL I WALK INTO A WALL?

No. We have in-game safety mechanisms and a Game Master to stop that happening. It is up to you to pay attention and follow all instructions at all times to remain safe.


CAN I HIRE THE ROOM FOR A PARTY?

Yes you can! Please call us to see our availability.


CAN I PLAY WITH MY FRIEND?

Yes you can, if you give us a ring we can talk you through our list of co-op games available.


CAN I JUST DROP IN?

Yes of course, but please be aware that you may have to wait if we are particularly busy.


IS THE EQUIPMENT CLEAN?

Of course, the headsets are cleaned after every use with anti-bacterial wipes to prevent the spread of germs and to keep the headsets clean for everyone to use.


WHAT HEADSETS DO YOU USE?

We use HTC Vive headsets, which are the highest quality headsets currently on the market. We also provide you with high quality headphones so you can get the full immersive experience.


WHAT IF WE WANT TO STAY LONGER THAN THE BOOKED PERIOD?

That’s no problem. If there is no-on else booked after you, you are free to play on after you have paid for the extra time.


WHAT GAMES ARE AVAILABLE?

We have a wide range of games available to suit everyone. You can see the full list on the website.


HOW DOES IT WORK?

When you book online, you rent a headset for your desired amount of time. We will brief you on health and safety and help you get started with the controls. After that you are free to enjoy yourself!


CAN I CANCEL MY BOOKING?

Yes upto 48 hours before your booking you can cancel for free.After that you are charged full amount.


HOW MANY GAMES CAN I PLAY?

As many or as few as you like! You can change games at any time. If you need help, give our friendly staff a shout the old fashioned way.


Can people in wheelchairs enjoy VR?

Absolutely, yes. We have hosted multiple adults and children that rely on a wheelchair for mobility. Depending on the experience and the capability of each person, some can enjoy independently while some need a little help from their caregiver.


CAN I BOOK ONLINE?

Not only can you book online we recommend it! You will save time at check-in, be guaranteed no wait times and a dedicated VR station will be waiting for you when you arrive!


CAN I USE MY OWN GAME ACCOUNT?

VR gamezone offers content that has been licensed from the game developers themselves and as a result, we sadly cannot allow you to access your private account in our facility due to commercial use licensing restrictions.


Are there any restrictions to prevent me from experiencing VR?

There are no age restrictions for the use of the equipment but the VR headset manufacturers recommend 7 years plus because of a) the physical dimensions of the headsets and b) the fully immersive nature of the experience (which some younger children could find a little overwhelming). There are also some physical and mental conditions which could prevent you from being able to experience VR.


When should I arrive for my slot?

We need to give you a short introductory briefing to ensure your time in VR is the best it can be and safe too. The slots are not able to be easily moved,so We recommend you check in at least 15 minutes before your booking time to give you plenty of time.


Can the others in my party watch me experience VR?

Yes, spectators can watch your progress on any of the screens in our Centre. But really, why wouldn’t they rather be in there with you helping, or fighting you? VR is fantastic fun for the whole family.


Do you have lockers?

Yes we do, but only a limited number, so please arrive in good time to secure one for yourself. We cannot be held responsible for your belongings on site.


Can I change my game after booking?

Yes you can change your game as long as its in the same category.

I have Virtual Reality on my phone. Is this the same?

Phone based Virtual Reality is a very limited version of VR. To have the absolute best experience, you need a high-end computer, a large play space and special tracking for your headset and controllers. Our VR stations offer a completely new level of VR that you can’t get on your phone. Just like watching a movie on your phone isn’t as good as in a theater.


HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE A GAME?

This depends on how long you’ve booked for. Some games we recommend a minimum of 60 minutes before you start. Some games allow you to continue your progress over multiple visits!


CAN I ORDER A TAKEOUT AND BRING DRINKS WITH ME?

No outside food or drinks are permitted at VR GAMEZONE due to highly sophisticated electronics and regulations.Exception can be made for exclusive full arcade booking.


WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATIONS?

We are open everyday including holidays. We are generally open from 10am to 10pm.
